We have had many adults approach us stating that they had ridden in the past, perhaps during childhood, but had to give it up due to the demands of daily living. As schedules and responsibilities change, they are able to return to their roots with horses, but discover that the times have changed, along with the condition of their muscles!
In our return to riding program, we help you reconnect with the horse (and with those long forgotten muscles), in a relaxed and fun manner. The focus is on balance and strengthening. We suggest you begin begin with private lessons. Once a relationship has been established between the instructor, the rider and the horse, group lessons are available through request of the rider.
You will learn to guide the horse throughout a series of patterns and games at the walk, trot, and canter. Lessons will begin in the ring and may progress to the trail if the student wishes to do so.
Each lesson is individually tailored to the needs of the rider.
*Note: The first several minutes of each lesson are reserved for grooming and tacking. The time spent on unmounted work usually decreases as the student becomes more familiar with the horses and the process.
